Ode to the Tortilla Soup

OMGosh! Sometimes when you ask someone for a recipe that looks and sounds absolutely nummy, it doesn't come out that way. Not so with this recipe. My husband (the pickiest eater on earth) was scraping his bowl AND had seconds! We had it with tortilla chips and a dollop (I love that word!) of sour cream. I froze the left overs and will take it with me to work tomorrow. Can't wait to nuke it and have people coming around sniffing! Great stuff!

Brought the mid home. Didn't recognize him at first since he was in civvies. Doesn't matter, though. His flight plans got a little messed up (by the airline), but that only delayed us @ 2 hours. Not bad. Enough to go down to the bottom floor, walk two blocks to Subway, and grab a snack. Got the mid home and he immediately went after the goldfish crackers. I thought he had gone to the store with his dad, but his brother found him asleep on the living room floor. Put a pillow under his head and covered him with a blanket. Poor baby. Got up to eat and went straight to bed. His brother had been nice to him. No, I know it won't last.

Youngest got his Christmas shopping done today and I don't know what is coming over him, but he is cleaning his room! Will wonders never cease?! He really helped me out yesterday and did a good job. I really appreciate just the little things he did (running to the store, filling the cars up with gas) in addition to the bigger things (cleaning the carpets, washing the dog, shoveling the walk and driveway). He's growing up a little. I'm afraid to tell him that, since it may stunt the growth.

I'm pooped! I think I'll be hitting the sheets early!

Love to all!
